Petroff, Peter

Dr. Peter A. Petroff is a retired physician who has composed music for most of his life.  After a serious illness more than thirty years ago, he focused his life more on music.  He has composed twenty piano sonatas, eleven rhapsodies for piano, a piano concerto performed in Krakow, Poland and Waco Texas, and many other piano and chamber music pieces. He and his wife formed the Rose Petroff Foundation almost thirty years ago to encourage young piano performers.  The foundation (The Rose Petroff Foundation) sponsors both a primary/secondary grade competition annually and a college level competition biannually.  Information about the competitions is available at RPFTX.ORG.  Much of Dr. Petroff’s music is available at Amazon.com.
